Find Out How To Eliminate Diaper Leaks
You’re holding your baby and suddenly you feel something wet. A spot spreads across their clothes that you most likely just put on them a couple of minutes ago. Uh oh! Yet another leaking diaper! Some people will say that your choice of diaper affects how many of these you end up with. That has not been my experience. I have bought the cheapest diapers I can find for my kids for some time now and haven’t had any more problems than with the name brand diapers.
My experience has been that good diapering technique is critical for reducing the number of leaks that you get. The first problem most people have is that their babies will pee right out of their diaper. Sometimes this is a result of not changing the diaper for a long time. Other times is it because the diaper has been put on incorrectly. There are two critical factors here… the size of the diaper and how tightly it is put on. Make sure when you put the diaper on your baby that it is not too big or too small.
Either way and it will not work effectively. Secondly, make sure you put the diaper on your child tightly. Not so tight that it leaves red marks when you take them off but tight enough that nothing will escape. It is hard to get a good seal when they are wiggling but make it is done right the first time. A leak t will be even more work. Leaks are cake compared to the more messy kindt. Oftentimes the poo will travel right out of the bottom or top of the diaper. So how can you Eliminate these? A soaked, cheap diaper will not contain poop as well as a dry one. Make sure your child’s diaper is changed frequently.
Don’t let them run/crawl/jump around too much with a poo in there either. This can also force it out. The poo outs that go up the back are the most difficult to avoid. I have found that folding down the top of the diaper approximately one inch in the back can sometimes save you from an almost certain poo out. Unfortunately not all of them can be avoided. Even with the best technique sometimes it happens and you just have to deal with it and clean it up.
Hopefully some of these tips can help this occurrence to be less frequent for you.
