My Very Own Ideal Valentine’s Day Memories

By Adam, March 3, 2010 4:20 pm

Valentine’s Day is once again upon us, and everybody is attempting to decide just what the most desirable Valentine’s Day presents are for their particular companion. It needn’t be a difficult task to work out the things to purchase and what you can do to mark Valentine’s Day- just have a think about the person you are in a relationship with and what can mean the utmost to them. Let me tell you a tale. For last Valentine’s Day, I jumped onto a train with my girl and we went away to spend a weekend in her home town. We took our Valentine’s greetings cards and Valentine’s Day presents with us to be swapped on the big day itself, and set about having a calm (and admittedly very romantic) Valentine’s day together.

The evening we arrived was the evening before Valentine’s Day itself, but we agreed to start celebrating early on and went out for a meal in her home town’s greatest Indian eatery, along with a couple of her close family relatives for company. The next morning, on Valentine’s Day itself, we went out for a lengthy walk all over the town, and my girlfriend took me to many of the locations where she grew up, her one-time stomping grounds, where she had worked as a teen, and we swapped stories of growing up in working class England. A straightforward lunch was followed by additional time together, and the night was passed in superior style with dinner and wine and chat.

Valentine’s day presents were swapped. That evening we watched the clouds glow as they passed in front of the moon, which was enlightening mile upon mile of open country that surrounded the town.

My point here? We spent the big day together. Every moment of it. Valentine’s day presents and cards are crucial tokens of your affection for your partner, but the main point is to clearly tell them they are special and that they’re dear. That weekend was incredible. We shared a charming weekend with good food, important memories and hours of discovering extra about one other’s lives.

Valentine’s day is a great deal more than simply a meal and a film. It is a time to reflect on the things you share with your significant other and remember all of the main reasons the two of you got together in the first instance. Quality time together and gifts with some deliberation behind them are, after all, the very finest Valentine’s day gift suggestions around. Spend the big day letting each other be aware of just how much you appreciate them, and those recollections you put together will live on a long time after the final chocolate has been shared.

By Adam, March 3, 2010 9:04 am

Designing your boy’s bedroom can be a huge amount of fun. Where some girl’s might not like to get paint on their hands… Boys cannot wait!!! So choose a color for the walls that will suit your boy’s bedroom furniture and linen… then let the fun begin!  Start creating your child’s room with practical, essential boys bedroom furniture.  e.g. boys beds, under bed chest of drawers, desk or table and chairs depending on your boy’s age.

Design your boy’s room with a theme in mind that is in his interest.  Boys enjoy a great looking bedroom that focuses on themes such as Cars, Boats, Superhero’s, Cartoon’s, Rock Stars, Race Cars, Space, Planes, Bikes or even if the theme is a colorful stripe, it should be something that makes him happy.  There are lots of different designs of wooden toy boxes that can be used to store everything he collects as he plays out his dreams or to store all his boys toys.

Stores like The Boys Depot have beautiful boy’s bedroom decor and linen that will fit perfectly with your furniture for boys.   Their bedroom furniture comes in Wood, Navy, White, Ivory, Stone as well as rustic. These are wonderful colors to mix and match.  If the walls are neutral, stone furniture is a must. If your boy’s bedroom walls are a darker color like navy or blue then white or ivory bedroom furniture will work well.

As well as furniture for boys,  murals on wallpaper can be found online and there are some that cover an entire wall with beautiful renditions of undersea animals or sports themed real life wall decals such as Sudden Shadows and Fatheads featuring  your son’s favorite sports figures.

Finally it is time to pick out some kids bedding that co-ordinates well with the theme your son has chosen.  The Boys Depot boy bedding is a collection of designer sets that are affordable, fresh and elegant while remaining well-suited for a boy.  They have boy bedding that is custom made as well from twin size bedding up through king size and is sure to last the wear and tear of even the most mischievous little boy!  They have all kinds of bedding themes to match your theme room as from such designers as Doodlefish, Alli Taylor, Sleeping Partners, Trend-Lab, Caden Lane, Baby Chic, Brandee Danielle, California Kids, Whistle & Wink, Glenna Jean, Jo Jo Designs among others!

The final touch is to combine the theme and furniture with accessories that set the whole room off with grrovy lighting, clocks, picture frames, book ends, hand prints and maybe a crazy twist with your boys very own height wall chart!
